3 good reasons why Singapore is the ideal place to start your business…NOW!

1) Ideal Business Climate

By far the most important predictor of a successful business, is the nation’s economical climate and government policies regulating businesses. It takes just 10mins to register your start-up online. No internet disruptions, lag or security issues. If you are doing business online (like mine), you can start making legit transactions in a matter of minutes!

Singapore is the EASIEST country in the world to set up and manage businesses. Did u know that? EDBI says so! Do we even know what is EDBI? “Ease of Doing Business Index” – the international ranking system for measuring business viability in a country…Look at the evidence here!

Singapore is No. 1 over the past 5 years!!!..Did u know that?..I didn’t! And I lost out!…You might be asking “Why isn’t this on mainstream news?”. Well, look at the news – people are too busy complaining about our government, speculating about property prices, gossiping about scandals, preoccupied with unimportant things like pandas…Locals are just too ignorant! The foreign investors have seen the stats, and they are swarming here to cash in! It’s time to wake up and take back our home-ground advantage!

2) Strategic Location

One major advantage of setting up business in Singapore is its convenient location. Singapore is situated in the heart of Southeast Asia, making it possible for your business to access a market of 2.8 billion people within a few hours flight. Singapore’s Maritime seaport and Airport are world-class.

Singapore is 3 hours from India, China, Sri Lanka, Hong Kong, Bangladesh, and Taiwan. 2 hours from Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar, and Philippines. All accessible by budget airlines.

You can be sure of expansion and scaling opportunities for your business if you seed it in Singapore first!

 3) Strong Economy and Upright Government

The main reason why it is more challenging to do businesses in other countries is due to unstable economical and political climate. Businesses suffer due to volatile economy because of weak political infrastructure, unreasonable taxes, lack of legal protection, and downright corruption from the top.

In contrast, Singapore’s political system is one that enacts laws, decides priorities and sets regulations using a rational, pro-business approach. This has implications on all other aspects of nation-building. Singapore is recognized for its high level of education, high productivity, technical proficiency, work-hard and work-smart culture. The Singapore workforce is both cosmopolitan and international, attracting professionals from all over the world, who bring with them their extensive knowledge and business expertise.

Singapore has a stable and orderly government, whose vision is to take this nation to the front of the industrialized nations. This translates to a higher quality of life, and a more conducive business environment. It is exactly for this reason that your foreign customers or investors dare to put their trust and faith in you, not because of your business, but because of your country! You can be sure your start-up will thrive and grow fast because of the country’s stability!

There are of course many more reasons why setting up shop in Singapore is ideal. But the above are certainly the key ones for me and my counter-parts.

In the following articles I will be sharing how my 3 businesses were started with ZERO capital, and are now providing me passive income every month.

Stay tuned!…Glenn Lim
